Custom development, calibration and repair — by the engineers who built your instrument.

Greenfield Technology design develop and test test & measurement equipment, calibrate and verify all greenfield products, and repair, if it's necessary them without sending anything to a third party.
Service & support
An instrument is not a transaction. From the first specification to a repair fifteen years later, the same engineering team stays on the file.

▎ How we work — four commitments, no small print

You talk to an engineer

Your request lands on the desk of someone who has read the schematic of the instrument you are asking about. No ticket queue, no first-level filter.

Nothing leaves the building

Electronics, optics, embedded software and metrology sit under the same roof in France. Calibration and repair happen on the benches that qualified the instrument in the first place.

Support does not expire

Instruments delivered at the start of the catalog are still serviced today. We keep the design files, the spares and the test benches for every product line.

Every intervention is documented

Calibration certificate, verification report, updated drivers and manuals — in a form your quality department can file without asking us for anything else.

Our services

Six services around one instrument.

Custom instrumentation development, OEM integration, traceable calibration, repair, driver support and long-term availability. All of it handled by the same ten engineers who design the catalog — which is why our customers keep calling the same number.

    Engineering

    Custom instrumentation development

Bespoke electronic and optical instruments built to your specification — from a single delay channel to a facility-wide synchronization system. We start from your experiment, not from our catalog.

    Spec → prototype → series

    OEM

    OEM modules & board-level integration

Our timing, delay and acquisition cores are available as boards or modules to embed in your own product, with the interfaces, form factor and firmware you need.

    Bench & on-site

    Metrology

    Calibration & verification

Traceable calibration of delay generators, time interval meters, digitizers and timing systems on our own ATE benches — with a verification report your quality department can file.

    Legacy units welcome

    Maintenance

    Repair, retrofit & upgrade

Diagnosis, board-level repair and functional upgrades on instruments we designed — including units delivered more than a decade ago. Firmware and channel-count upgrades follow the same path.

    Python · LabVIEW · Tango · EPICS

    Software

    Integration & driver support

We deliver and maintain the drivers that put the instrument inside your control system — Python, LabVIEW, Tango and EPICS — and help your team wire it into an existing rack or beamline.

    Spares · obsolescence · continuity

    Lifecycle

    Long-term availability

Programs run for decades; components do not. We manage obsolescence, keep spares and test benches for every product line, and plan drop-in replacements before a part disappears.

How a project runs

Six stages,
one point of contact.

Whether it is a custom timing system or a calibration on a ten-year-old delay generator, the path is the same and you always know which stage you are in. Lead times below are typical, not contractual — they are confirmed in the quote.

Requirement

You describe the setup, the timing or acquisition behaviour you need, and the environment it runs in.

Feasibility & quote

An engineer confirms what is achievable, flags the trade-offs, and issues a costed proposal.

Design

Analog and digital electronics, optics, mechanics and embedded firmware are specified and simulated.

Build & test

Assembly with our certified French manufacturing partner, then functional test on our own benches.

Calibration & delivery

Traceable calibration, verification report, drivers and documentation. On-site commissioning on request.

Lifetime support

Recalibration, repair, firmware updates and spare parts for as long as the instrument is in service.

Calibration & repair

Send it back to the people who built it.

Precision instruments drift. Ours are calibrated and repaired on the same ATE benches used to qualify them at manufacturing, by engineers who have the design files open next to the unit. Loan units on request, subject to availability.
    • Traceable calibration, written report

Delay generators, time interval meters, digitizers and installed timing systems. Every intervention closes with a verification report you can hand to your quality department.

    • Board-level repair, including out-of-production units

We keep design files, test benches and spare components for every product line shipped since 2001. When a component is truly obsolete we propose a retrofit rather than declaring the unit dead.

Practical questions

Before you write to us.

If your question is not here, ask it directly — the answer comes from an engineer, not a form letter.

Our calibration and repair services cover Greenfield Technology instruments — delay generators, timing systems, digitizers, signal generators, time and frequency meters, pulse shaping modules. For third-party equipment, we can calibrate and certify products.

It depends on use. A picosecond delay generator on a laser or plasma diagnostic bench is typically verified every twelve months, and more often when it feeds a measurement chain under quality accreditation. Tell us your application and we will recommend an interval.

In most cases yes. We keep design files, test benches and spare components for every product line shipped since 2001. If a component is genuinely obsolete, we propose a drop-in replacement or a retrofit rather than declaring the unit dead.

Six stages: requirement, feasibility and quote, design, build and test, calibration and delivery, then lifetime support. You keep the same technical contact from the first email to the last recalibration, and timelines are confirmed in the quote.

Yes — for commissioning, timing system audits, on-site calibration and training. Large synchronization installations are usually easier to service in place than to ship, and we plan those interventions around your facility schedule.

Python, LabVIEW, Tango and EPICS are supported and maintained. Ethernet (RJ45 and SFP), cPCI, PXI, PXIe, USB, interfaces are available depending on the instrument; custom protocols are developed on request.

Tell us what the instrument has to do. We'll tell you how.

Calibration, repair, upgrade or a custom development: describe it in a few lines and an engineer answers within two working days — with a real technical response, not an acknowledgement of receipt.
